Last week, my mom, dad, sister, and I went to my "Twin Valley Middle School Annual Top 100 Art Pieces\Recycled Fashion Show". I was excited to be chosen to have 3 pieces in the show. [one not shown] I was one of 100 students chosen from the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I enjoyed watching the recycled fashion show. Lots of the artist were very creative. I hope next year to be chosen for both the fashion and art shows.
The bird artwork was made in art class using colored wire and packing tape. The assignment was to create a bird of your choice by shaping your wire. We worked in partners; my partner was Cassie.
The drawing is of the Mona Lisa, The Scream, and a self-portrait of Frida Kahlo. I had to find three objects that were similiar. Then I had to research my choices. I decided to use these three because I saw an image of The Scream and it sparked an idea! I used markers and a straight edge to make this image.
I enjoy art class because I got to work on these creations.
